What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine is a health care option that allows you to talk to your providers and receive medical services virtually.

You talk to your provider via telephone or video chat. It’s an excellent alternative to in-office visits, especially when you only have a quick question or need a prescription refill.

Acadian Care LLC offers telemedicine to ensure their services are accessible for everyone from busy professionals to those who have mobility or transportation issues that make it challenging to attend in-office appointments.

Acadian Care LLC takes your mental health seriously and wants to make sure that you have access to the care you need to lead a fulfilling life.

What are the benefits of telemedicine?

Telemedicine provides a wide range of benefits. First, you save time. You don’t need to spend time traveling to and from any of the Acadian Care LLC offices. You don’t need to sit long hours in the waiting room.

Additionally, you don’t need to take time off work for your appointments. You can schedule your telemedicine appointment during a lunch break. Telemedicine is also helpful if you need to organize child or elder care. You just need sufficient privacy to talk about your concerns.

Telemedicine also helps you improve your mental health. When your appointments are more convenient, you’re more likely to attend them instead of canceling when your day gets too busy.

Also, by law, your telemedicine appointments are covered by your insurance at the same rate as your in-office visits. Acadian Care LLC doesn’t charge extra for telemedicine services.

What services are available through telemedicine?

Acadian Care LLC offers almost all of its services via telemedicine. For example, you can touch base with your psychiatrist to talk about your prescription and get a refill. You can schedule counseling sessions and speak to your therapist.

Telemedicine is also a convenient option if you have a quick question about medicine or therapeutic options.

Certain services must be provided in one of the Acadian Care LLC offices. Any initial assessments or psychological testing must be done on-site. In the early stages of evaluating and diagnosing your condition, your provider needs to see you in person.

This allows your provider to observe your overall health and behaviors. It’s also a good way for you to begin to develop your relationship.
